Get Connected. Be Inspired. Your're Invited!
That´s the motto for the Expat in the City Fair that will take place on 12th March 2017, again in Munich’s spectacular BMW Welt, Am Olympiapark 1, 80809 München. The doors open at 10AM, and the program continues until 5 PM.
Mark your calendars. This is your 2017 special event to find out what’s happening in Munich. Produced by AGBC member Elisabeth Egger, it’s geared for newcomers as well as for longer-term international residents. From relocation companies and financial organizations to personal training and social and sports clubs, they will all be there to describe and offer their services in English or German. And the Expat in the City team will be sharing tips and traditions from in and around Munich and Bavaria.
The Expat in the City team has set up a weekly series of tips and traditions involving Munich and Bavaria. These appear on their Facebook page as "James Explores": https://www.facebook.com/expatinthecity/. If you have a tip you would like to share it - please do so by commenting on the page.
The day will be full of information, animation and inspiration for all internationals living in Munich. One can meet the faces and places that can help make her or his life abroad easier and – equally important – more fun. Questions about topics such as finances, insurances, education, daycare, expat life, job search and fun things to do in the Munich area can all be answered at the fair – all in one day and all under one (very large) roof. A program full of workshops, expert talks and entertainment will ensure that visitors will leave the fair with the information and contacts they need and the inspiration to enjoy life in Munich to the fullest.
At the fair you will also find plenty of opportunities to mingle with other expats during the workshops and expert talks or in the Expat Networking lounge. The extensive program includes workshops on yoga, improv acting and beer tasting & expert talks about setting up your own business in Munich , how to thrive as an expat, and information about bi-lingual daycare. There will also be entertainment from local international comedians and food & drinks to enjoy in the indoor Biergarten. For families with children, Expat in the City has a dedicated kids’ area where they can play and meet other international kids.
A dedicated Job & Career Zone that will be launched in 2017, will offer English speaking job seekers and those looking for ways to expand their international careers the opportunity to find informormation and inspiration in this area.
The City of Munich, IHK for Munich and Upper Bavaria, Expatica DE, Invest in Bavaria, Henley Business School and International School Augsburg & Region Augsburg are proud supporters of the Expat in the City Fair and welcome you to the fair.
