St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Celebration – Sunday 12th March 2017

Time:    Parade – Meet 1145 at Müncher Freiheit (Feillitzschstrasse, near the McDonald’s), 1330 Party at the Wittelsbacherplatz (near Siemens HQ)

Here come the Irish!  “Let’s paint the town green again” - dress in green and march with us to the fun at the Wittelsbacherplatz.  

 With our large Irish population here, Munich annually hosts the European Continent’s largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade, featuring the participation of many Munich Area clubs and organizations, including the IBN, a MING member.

This year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on Sunday, 12th March (But the real St. Patrick’s Day is on the 17th.) with the parade starting at high noon. MING members can join with the IBN, the Munich Irish Network e.V., St. Patrick (Wolfgang Schramm) and Parade Princess Anne Wencelides for this year’s march down the Leopoldstrasse to the Odeonsplatz, then onwards to the Wittelsbacherplatz.  Around 1:30 PM the fun starts with several short speeches moderated by John Patrick Dunne, entertainment and some free food
