Ben Rhoades served as a close advisor to U.S. President Barack Obama throughout his 2 terms in office. In his new book, he provides insights into the inner workings of U.S. politics today.
Throughout the 8 years, Ben Rhodes saw almost everything that happened in the heart of Barack Obama's Presidency. He was there as the nuclear agreement was negotiated with Iran, as the rapprochement with Cuba was initiated (and then abruptly fell with the election of Donald Trump), and as the decision to not intervene in Syria was cast. He will describe some of the key dramas of the Obama Presidency, providing a number of intimate insights into the inner laws of politics. His book is a unique historical document and a lesson about what is possible in politics.
Ben Rhodes joined the Barack Obama campaign team in 2007 as a speechwriter. He later became Deputy National Security Adviser and served as one of President Obama’s closest aides and confidants. Today, he is co-Chair of the Organization of National Security Action in Washington.
