Munich Cowboys American Football

Munich Cowboys – American Football, Made in Germany

Munich Cowboys vs Allgäu Comets

Start me up!  American football returns to Munich – On 7th April the Cowboys meet the Würzburg Panthers in a preseason match-up in Munich as the teams prepare for the start of the 2018 German Football League (GFL) season.

Then the Munich Cowboys open their 2018 first division GFL season on 21st April when the Fighting Bayrisch host the Frankfurt Universe, one of the top two teams in the southern division of the GFL.  With versatile players and a great coaching staff led by Head Coach Garren Holley, get ready again for some more exciting football this season.

The kick-offs are at 16:00, and the games normally last about 2.5-3.0 hours. Come on out, grab a hamburger and/or a hotdog, and enjoy the action. When the going gets good, Dante Stadion really rocks!

The 2018 home games are normally on Saturdays.  The 2nd home game will be a doozy, taking place on Saturday, 16 June against the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns, perennial southern division champions and German Bowl finalists.   Otherwise this year’s schedule is back-end loaded with most of the home games taking place during July to early September.

The schedule, a general description of the game rules and further team info are available at www.munich-cowboys.de. Tickets: Eur 14.00 for Tribune/grandstands, Eur 10.00 for general admission.  The game program is available at the gate for a small contribution (Eur 1-2).

Dante-Stadion - U1 Haltestelle at Westfriedhof.  Located in northwest Munich near Moosach, it is just south of the Dachauer Strasse, adjacent to the Dante-Bad, and near the Velodrome at the Olympiagelände.
