Information & Inspiration for English-speaking Munich
GET CONNECTED. BE INSPIRED. YOU´RE INVITED!
That´s the motto for the Expat in the City Fair that will take place on 06th March in the spectacular BMW Welt, Am Olympiapark 1, 80809 München. The doors open at 10AM, and the program continues until 5 PM.
This is your 2016 special event to find out what’s happening in Munich. It’s geared for newcomers as well as for longer-term international residents. From relocation companies and financial organizations to personal training and social and sports clubs, they will all be there to describe and offer their services in English.
The day will be full of information, animation and inspiration for all internationals living in Munich. One can meet the faces and places that can help make her or his life abroad easier and – equally important – more fun. Questions about topics such as finances, insurances, education, daycare, expat life, job search and fun things to do in the Munich area can all be answered at the fair – all in one day and all under one (very large) roof. A program full of workshops, expert talks and entertainment will ensure that visitors will leave the fair with the information and contacts they need and the inspiration to enjoy life in Munich to the fullest.
At the fair you will also find plenty of opportunities to mingle with other expats during the workshops and expert talks or in the Networking Beergarden at the indoor terrace of BMW Welt. The extensive program includes workshops on learning German the easy way, yoga for kids, taxes, beer tasting and expert talks about how to set up your own business, health insurance in Germany, thriving as an accompanying partner as well as a speed dating session for international singles in Munich. There will also be entertainment from local internationals such as Indian classical dance on-stage and snacks & beverages in the Networking Beergarden to stay strengthened through the day. For families with children, Expat in the City has a dedicated kids’ area where they can play and meet other international kids.
“In my capacity as patron, I am looking forward to the fair and would like to extend a warm welcome to all our visitors. Indeed, our support for “Expat in the City” is one of many ways in which Munich's local government wishes to welcome all international skilled workers and residents in Munich.” - Josef Schmid, Second Mayor of Munich.
