Florian Loretan: Creating and Managing Successful Websites
Munich Chapter April 2014 Monthly Meeting
Wednesday, April 30, 2014, 19:00 to 23:00
Location: Marriott Hotel Munich Schwabing, Berliner Strasse 93, 80805 Muenchen
Making websites is easy. The entry-level costs are close to zero, everything you need to know is available online for free, the tools keep getting better all the time, and the business opportunities are endless.
And yet, making websites is hard. The technology keeps changing, the expectations do too. Keeping the content up-to-date takes a lot of time, the processes are unclear, and the launch of most web projects ends up past the target date.
In this presentation, Florian Loretan will show us what goes on behind the scenes for successful web projects. His insights include how to:
. Define the goals of the website in order to be able to measure success.
. Create a concept that works for you.
. Identify what you can do yourself and what you should delegate.
. Choose the right tools and the right people to work with.
. Use proven processes to manage the creation of your website.
Whether you already have a website or if you are new to the field, Florian will help you figure out the concrete steps towards taking your website to the next level.
Florian Loretan is co-founder and CTO of Wunderkraut Germany. He is also an active participant in the web development community, having organized international conferences, contributed to reference books and given presentations at events from San Francisco to Moscow.
