As a charity organization, the Global H2O team stages events and invests the proceeds in providing access to clean water by drilling water wells in remote parts of Africa, mainly Uganda. These efforts bring great and sustainable benefits for the local communities involved. As some Members will recall, the Global H2O organization made a "point of view" presentation at our February 2012 monthly meeting.

For the 3rd consecutive year, Global H2O is staging their Benefit Thanksgiving Dinner on the evening of Thanksgiving at the Wirtshaus zum Brunnwart, Biedersteinstr.78, 80802 Munich. Sponsored by Tantris Restaurant, there will be a delicious traditional Thanksgiving dinner with roast turkey with all the trimmings and wine. For carving novices, Florian Spitta, one of Munich's foremost chefs, will demonstrate the proper way to carve a turkey. In addition, the Global H2O team will explain the origins of Thanksgiving and its importance to American culture today.
