Led by Conductor Mark Mast, the soloists, chorus, and orchestra of the Bayerische Philharmonie invite the MING to their traditional presentation of the Christmas Oratorio by Johann Sebastian Bach. This special, contemplative pre–Christmas concert of Bach’s popular vocal masterpiece is a synonym for hope, joy, and radiance, serving as an audio delight for the winter season. Being held in the Allerheiligen-Hofkirche der Residenz, it is the festive capstone for 2017 for the symphony choir and the Bayerischen Philharmonie.
The concert features: Johann Sebastian Bach‘s Weihnachtsoratorium, BWV 248, Kantaten I, II & III with soprano Carmela Konrad, Alto Marion Eckstein, Tenor Andreas Weller, and baritone Florian Götz, the chamber choir and orchestra of the Bayerischen Philharmonie under the directon of Mark Mast.
As a special treat for the MING guests attending the 5th December performance, you can participate in a concert introduction with the conductor which will take place in the Allerheiligen-Hofkirche der Residenz about an hour before the concert begins.
