MING Special Event - St. Patrick's Day Parade and Celebration

Time:    Parade – Meet 1100 at Müncher Freiheit (Feillitzschstrasse, near McDonald’s), 1330 Party at Odeonsplatz

Sign-Up:  Events tab at www.agbc.de or on the new AGBC Munich Community Platform at www.agbc-munich.com.

Here come the Irish!  “Let’s paint the town green” - dress in green and march with us to the fun at the Odeonsplatz.  We’ll be marching with the Irish Business Network, a fellow Munich International Networking Group (MING) organization.

With our large Irish population here, Munich annually hosts the European Continent’s largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade, featuring participation of many Munich Area clubs and organizations. This year’s event will take place on Sunday, 13th March (But the real St. Patrick’s Day is on the 17th.). A group from the AGBC will join other MING members for this year’s march down the Leopoldstrasse to the Feldherrnhalle at Odeonsplatz, where participants will be treated to some free food and drink.

Please sign up to join us by Friday, 11th March. We are going to rendezvous at Münchner Freiheit-Feilitzstasse 13 at 11:45 AM. The parade launch is at noon, and the Odeonsplatz activities start around 1:30 PM, with Father Christof Wolf blessing the traditional Irish shamrock followed by short speeches by Munich Lord Mayor Dieter Reiter, Irish Ambassador to Germany Michael Collins, Honorary Irish Consul Dr. Erich LeJeune, and US Consul General Jennifer Gavito.  And then … bring on the bands!
